Fraser Clark has a vision of the wilderness that is both grand and expansive, intimate and introspective. Born and raised in Vancouver, he has been photographically exploring landscape imagery throughout his life. Following his career as a gallery owner and corporate art consultant in Toronto, and several years in New Zealand, he returned in 2004 to live in Mill Bay just north of Victoria. He exhibits in solo and group shows in Toronto and Victoria, has been represented by a Canadian commercial image bank and has contributed to numerous wilderness photo books.
"Does it resonate, do I want to look at it again...and again?
Light, angle and attitude – for me the final image is the only thing that matters. The natural world inspires and humbles – I hope my work speaks to these motivations."
